OLAMIDE DEFENDS HER THESIS
November 1, 2023
Olamide successfully defending her thesis yesterday. Olamide finished two projects on generational exposures of plants to PFOS and other small unfinished projects. She has presented in conferences nine times (five times in national conferences), making her the most presented student from our group. She was also active in our STEM outreach to HS students. As I have mentioned during the defense, she was the one making me meet her deadlines. Congratulations Olamide and all the best on your next adventure.

GROWING SCALLION IN MARS SIMULANT SOIL
May 5, 2023
Jessica Linson presented the final report for the plant the moon/plant mars challenge. Jessica was able to grow scallions in mars simulant soil mixed with earth soil. However, the next challenge was to grow it to produce biomass as much as the earth soil. This project was supported by NASA's Missouri Space Grant Consortium and Jordan Valley Innovation Center. Other students who participated in these projects were Presto Clubb, Maximo Reyes, Brooke Winder, and Riley Pope.
