Preston presented his research findings from the Rico Lab at the 2021 Sustainable Nanotechnology Organization Conference. Preston is an undergraduate yet he performed his own study. He is thinking on pursuing MS after graduation. Congratulations Preston!

Congratulations to Polycarp for passing his thesis defense. His research was on PFOS uptake and effects on metabolite profile of wheat grains. Polycarp is moving to Indiana University for his PhD studies.

IAN SAYERS RECEIVES THE ACS UNDERGRADUATE STUDENT AWARD IN ENVIRONMENTAL CHEMISTRY

Ian was the first from Rico Lab to get the ACS student award in environmental chemistry. He worked on the analysis of metabolomics data for plants (wheat, velvetleaf, soybean) exposed to perfluorooctanesulfonic acid. Ian was also the recipient of the Outstanding Environmental Chemistry Student Award from the Chemistry Department. Ian hopes to work in the industry after graduation.
